Whilst this film does the rounds at film festivals we cannot share the full film with you but above is the trailer for the film…
Metal in partnership with National Institute of Music and Dance, Warsaw, have been part of an international collaborative project. The inclusive creative team are: UK choreographer Kate Marsh, Director Jay Gearing, Poland-based artists Dominika Feiglewicz and Patrycja Jarosinska and camera man Pawel Penarski. Who have created a new dance work for camera.
Following a two-week choreographic residency at Metal in Peterborough UK, and a week-long residency in Poland, we present this dance film inspired by the unique collaboration between two Polish dancers. The piece concentrates on love letters to themselves and their bodies, explores female pressures, disability and expectations whilst coming together through friendship, solidarity, and nature.
The collaborative process brings together artists and organisations who advocate for inclusivity across all their work. This process has been an opportunity for all those involved to share thinking and knowledge of their lived experiences across different cultural and geographic contexts.
